Using Photoshop Brushes 101: Loading Photoshop Brushes Into Photoshop

Step 1
Open photoshop
Step 2
Go to File > New
Step 3
Change the Width and the Height to 2500 at 72 dpi and make sure both drop-down menus are set to "pixels" and click "OK" (You can set your document to whatever size your project will be in the future, but for training purposes, use the 2500 pixels as a minimum. Our brushes are usually around this size, and you will have trouble stamping them if your document is smaller).
Step 4
If you don't see your brushes palate in the workspace, select "Brushes" from the "Window" menu at the top to make sure the Brushes Palate is visible in the workspace.
Step 5
Select the Brush tool from the toolbar (usually about the 5th one down, and it looks like a paint brush. If your tools aren't showing select "tools" from the "Window" menu to make sure it's visible in the workspace as well.)
Step 6
Go to the Brush Palate options by clicking in the top right corner of the Brushes Palate to open a menu, then click "Load Brushes"
Step 7
Navigate to the brush set that you've downloaded to your computer and click "Load"
Step 8
In the toolbar near the bottom, click on the top color square to adjust the color if it is set to white. You'll need it to be different from the background color in order to see the brushes when you stamp them.
Step 9
Select the first brush from the set that you've loaded into the Brush Palate. Hover over the artboard with your mouse pointer, and you will see a ghost image of the brush you have selected. Line up the brush so that it is visible within the workspace. Click once. You should now see the stamped brush on the artboard.
This should get you started.
